Tree Removal & Trimming

When should I remove a tree?

Tree removal is typically recommended when:

  • A tree is dead, dying, or diseased
  • It's leaning or poses a risk to people or structures
  • Roots are damaging driveways, sidewalks, or foundations
  • It was damaged in a storm
  • You’re preparing for construction or landscaping

How do I know if a tree is dangerous?

Some signs of a dangerous tree include:

  • Visible cracks in the trunk or major limbs
  • Dead branches, especially in the canopy
  • Leaning more than usual
  • Mushrooms or rot at the base
  • Recent storm damage

How often should trees be trimmed?

Tree trimming schedules vary by species, location, and purpose, but in general:

  • Most trees benefit from trimming every 2–5 years
  • Fast-growing species may require more frequent maintenance
  • Trees near structures or power lines may need annual attention
  • Late winter or early spring is ideal for many species

Stump Grinding & Removal

What’s the difference between stump grinding and removal?

Stump grinding removes the visible part of the stump by grinding it down below ground level. It’s faster, less invasive, and more affordable.
Stump removal
involves digging out the entire stump and root ball — usually done when you're preparing for construction or need a completely clear site.

We offer both options and will recommend the best fit based on your property and future plans.

What happens to the wood chips?

We can either haul away the wood chips or leave them on your property for use as mulch. Many customers choose to keep them for garden beds or erosion control.

Land Clearing & Excavating

What types of land clearing do you provide?

We offer full-service land clearing for:

  • Residential lots and backyards
  • Commercial development sites
  • Fence lines and access roads
  • Hunting land and trails
  • Agricultural land preparation

Do I need a permit for land clearing?

In most residential areas, minor land clearing does not require a permit, but major development or tree removal may. We’ll help you understand what’s required based on your location and scope of work.
